I did run...some. I also ate junk and slept and watched movies and rode the motorcycle with one of my favorite people! I did not do laundry until Monday night...the Marines had a 72-hour weekend and my office was closed on Monday, too!
So: Saturday miles: 4.5, Sunday miles: 3 (blech, but in the dark after riding, so I did what I could.)
Goal for this week: 25 miles. Totally do-able. :o)

I did not run today.
It's my second planned day off this week, so I can watch all the shows I've missed this week. I can also talk about the beautiful man who runs on my route without his shirt on. Thank you to the running gods! The man with the ripped abs and pecks and lats. I'm wondering if he would notice me if I circled around to get a second look!
I'm on track to run over 20 miles this week, which isn't such a big deal, but if I end up on track to run over 100 miles this month, that would be quite a triumph. I'm thinking of signing up for the Kentucky Derby mini marathon. Since I've been adding mileage for the last few weeks, I seriously think I could add enough miles to make 13.1 relatively comfortable. Plus, it would give me a really good excuse to come home and see my peeps! And I love Derby time in Louisville!

3 miles at 3 pm
I definitely went running at the worst possible time of day. (Sun beating, forehead sweating, and where are the trees?) But three miles is totally sufficient for a Saturday, and I'm not beating myself up over the mileage. I should have taken a little bottle of water. But the gatorade I made before I left had chilled enough to be a bit colder than lukewarm by the time I got back, which was nice on my parched pallet. I love that in my new neighborhood there are tons of sidewalks, but I am bemoaning the lack of foliage. The nicest thing about running today was smelling my dryer sheet smell, seriously, lavendar and vanilla. Very nice. The breeze was nice, too, but today was definitely a summer afternoon. Maybe tonight will smell like autumn.
